What You See Is What You Get

Join me in my life of a regular Singaporean. Where there is nothing to do but shop and eat.
I am a 25 year old fresh IT grad searching for a career in a highly competitive market. At the moment I spend most of my life in front of my laptop. The internet is my currency to the world while I have none to spare ($$$). Read my thoughts and opinion. My triumphs and my breakdowns. I do not seek to inspire or beg to be praised. Simply my honest takes and I am all there is. |

.::29th march 2006::.
i feel ive got lots to say
hv been in an exeptionally good mood 2 dae
despite the critisism from my boss
in malay is "teguran yang membina"
but mr boss was teaching me a lesson
and i ought to be thankful to be given a chance to learn
and become better at my work
at this job, i feel tt im not just working
i feel the passion
maybe ive finally found my destiny
anyway as of today, its been a month ive been in this company
and i forsee many more productive months to come
InsyaAllah...
so today after my failed attempt at experimenting with lighting for my new vision assignment given by mr boss on monday
and being arrowed at for it [tho i feel absolutely positive abt it all, i swear]
for failing and for taking a long time coz his clients from Indonesia are waiting for his rply, mr boss instructed me to go to Seagate (AMK), well, again
this is like my fourth time, and alone
well it's cool being able to travel around and all
its enjoyable tho the job demands challenge self-pressure
but not so uptight
something different, out of the conventional
travelling expenses claimable anyway
so who's complaining?... haha
and i did the usual routine; surrender my id, declare whatever, wait to be escorted by my sponsor to the department where my job is to monitor this currently hugely not complication-free machine [erm i think i shdnt elaborate, maybe its company confidentiality and security stuff, u noe]...
anyway its still under testing by us...
so this machine is made by my company
we're vendor of it and Seagate buys it from us
so we give full technical and whatever troubleshooting support for it
sounds big coming out of 20-yr-old me doesnt it?
well i feel lucky coz gaining exposure to all these is valuable experience for me
and just looking at this huge machine standing in front of me and thinking abt the things involved in its creation:
-automation
-mechanics
-programming (PLC, VB, C++)
-electricals [which im dangerously not well-versed in, i didnt study the subject in sch, hv some mercy]
i just love thinking that i can dig my petite hands into these fields
engineering is so cool [inspired by my idol, Jimmy Neutron]
so i was all alone from 11am to like 5:30pm at Seagate
with periodic chats with the factory operators around my area
and the supervisor engineer and some other Seagate staff who happen to be ard my general working area...friendly aint i? hahaz...
at the same time thinking abt my baby and his female-sergeant stalker at oeti
better stay away from my man, b****!
i mean which caring gf wdnt worry for her baby boy
here i am workin my ass off not being able to see my baby everyday
and there u are with my man every single working day and trying to get a get on with him?
dont make me shove my vomit up ur nose woman!
ok so back to blogging...
nx wk i have a programming seminar going on at Quality Hotel
and this week's payday week!
weeeee!
honey had half day today
oeti is so slack
who wdnt be tempted to sign on?
my baby's no exeption...
anyway he says he wants to go to the zoo wimme this saturday
and we'll go shopping on sunday
and have dinner after work on friday
so funnnn!
yeay! cant wait! weeeee!
im in such a good mood i went to the hair salon after work
my hair is just getting so dry and frizzy
so i went to get a treatment done
plus a little more snips on the length of my recently trimmed layered tresses
[i jz went last week!]
im so in love wif my hair now
so soft, so smooth, so shiny, so fragrant
mmmmMMMMMmmmm!
phew! and so...
i'll say with conclusion that today i mingled with people, made mistakes and with that unintentionally also acquired life skills
and created a new character for myself
"i will not be a wait-er, i am a go-er"
ok tts enuf for now
i got work to do
and internet to surf
but before i go...
here's a quote from my dad's words of wisdom:
"nv say no...try
if u say u cant do the job...ure finished"
my witty addition:
can go to desert and fly kite until vultures fly over ur dead body
haha..ok lame..
good nite all and have a great day tomorrow
taaz!
